TalkUnited is a mobile application that allows football fans to participate in public group chats. This Privacy Policy explains how ORA, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the TalkUnited mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App").
The App is designed to operate with limited data processing. We do not use the App to sell personal information, build advertising profiles, or run unnecessary analytics for marketing purposes. At the same time, some information may still be processed to operate the App, authenticate users, support public chat features, maintain security, enforce community rules, and respond to reports or legal requests.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you acknowledge that your selected username, avatar choice, messages, reactions, and certain other activity within public groups may be visible to other users of the App.
1. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the App in its current MVP form, including sign-in through Apple or Google, profile setup, participation in public chat groups, message reactions, mention features, reporting and muting tools, notification preferences, and related moderation and safety functions.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services that may be linked to or integrated with the App, including Apple Sign In and Google Sign-In, except to the extent we directly receive or process information from those services.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY PROCESS
Depending on how the App is configured and used, we may process limited categories of information necessary to provide the service, including:
Authentication information. If you sign in using Apple or Google, we may receive limited account-related information from that provider, such as a unique identifier, authentication token, display name, or email relay information, to the extent made available and necessary to enable access to the App.
Profile information. This may include your chosen username, any auto-generated username assigned at onboarding, your selected avatar from the App's preset icon library, and any profile settings you choose to change.
Public content. This includes messages you post in public groups, mentions, reactions, reports you submit, and other content or activity you create through the App.
Moderation and safety information. This may include mute settings, report details, administrative review records, enforcement notes, and information related to abuse prevention, policy enforcement, or investigations.
Notification and preference information. This may include your notification settings and, where applicable, device or push-token information required to deliver notifications through the relevant mobile platform.
Technical and operational information. We may process limited technical data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, debug, and maintain the App, such as service logs, crash information, device type, operating system version, and similar operational diagnostics, if and to the extent available through the App or platform provider.
We do not state that the App collects no personal data under all circumstances. Instead, our intention is to limit data processing to what is reasonably necessary to provide and protect the App.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use the information described above to:
provide access to the App and authenticate users;
create and administer usernames, avatars, and user settings;
display public chat content and enable interactions such as mentions and reactions;
review reports, investigate misconduct, mute users, remove content, or restrict access where appropriate;
send service-related notifications and maintain notification preferences;
monitor, troubleshoot, secure, improve, and maintain the App;
comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights, safety, and property of the Company, users, and third parties.
4. PUBLIC CONTENT AND VISIBILITY
The App is built around public group discussions. As a result, your username, selected avatar, posted messages, reactions, and certain other in-app activity may be visible to other users of the App.
You should not post information in public groups that you do not want other users to see. We cannot guarantee that other users will not copy, share, or retain content you choose to post publicly.
5. SIGN-IN THROUGH APPLE AND GOOGLE
The App currently allows access through Apple Sign In and Google Sign-In only. We do not ask users to create a separate password-based account directly within the App at this MVP stage.
When you choose to sign in through Apple or Google, your interaction with that sign-in provider is also governed by that provider's own terms and privacy disclosures. We encourage you to review Apple's and Google's privacy materials before using those services.
We only intend to use information received from those providers to the extent reasonably necessary to authenticate your access and operate the App.
6. MODERATION, SAFETY, AND ABUSE REPORTING
Because the App includes public user-generated content, we may process information relating to reports, muting, moderation decisions, and related safety reviews.
If a message or user is reported, or if content is reviewed for community-rule compliance, we may retain and use relevant information for investigation, enforcement, audit, and recordkeeping purposes.
If the App later adds automated or AI-assisted moderation tools, this Privacy Policy may be updated to describe that processing in greater detail before or when those features are introduced.
7. NOTIFICATIONS
If you enable notifications, the App may process the technical information necessary to deliver those notifications through your device and mobile operating system. You can generally control notification permissions through your device settings and, where available, through in-app settings.
8. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND TRACKING
The App is not intended to use website-style cookies within the mobile application itself for advertising or behavioral tracking purposes.
We do not intend to sell personal information or use unnecessary third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-context behavioral tracking for marketing purposes in the MVP version of the App.
However, the mobile platforms, authentication providers, or service infrastructure used to operate the App may process certain technical information in the ordinary course of providing their services.
9. WHEN WE MAY SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
with service providers or infrastructure providers that help us host, secure, authenticate, notify, moderate, or maintain the App, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations where applicable;
with Apple, Google, or other platform providers where the App's functionality depends on those services;
if required by law, court order, subpoena, or lawful government request;
to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of the Company, the App, our users, or third parties;
in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
10. DATA RETENTION
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the App, maintain security, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information involved, whether the information is public content, whether it is subject to a report or moderation review, and whether we need to keep records for legal, security, or operational reasons.
11. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or additional information about certain processing of your personal information.
Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR or equivalent laws.
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to know, access, delete, or correct certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
To exercise any applicable rights, please contact us at hussain@ora-llc.tech. We may need to verify your request before responding.
12. INTERNATIONAL USERS
The App may be operated, hosted, or supported in one or more countries. If you use the App from outside the country where our systems or service providers are located, your information may be processed in those other countries, subject to applicable law.
13. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to use the App in violation of applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided information in violation of this section, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
14. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of transmission, storage, or security control is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, the law, or our practices. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate under the circumstances, such as by updating the effective date, posting the revised policy in the App, or providing additional in-app notice where required.
